Walkthrough

This quest begins with Astaed Wemor in the Temple of Life of North Qeynos.

Condensed Walkthrough:

1. In Rivervale, complete the Honey Jum Quest and receive Honey Jum.
2. In North Qeynos, give the honey jum to Astaed Wemor and receive Prime Healer Potion [identifies as Potion of Disease Warding].
   1. Note: you need good faction with Astaed Wemor or he will keep the honey jum and give nothing. (Warning: Amiable faction is required (wolf form seems to work). You will recieve dialogue for the quest down to apprehensive, but not dubious, but if you are indifferent or apprehensive, your Honey Jum will be eaten.)
3. In West Karana, give the potion to Lempeck Hargrin and receive a LORE/NODROP Rusty Scythe.
4. In North Qeynos, give the scythe to Astaed Wemor and receive Shining Star of Light.

Complete Walkthrough:

You say, 'Hail, Astaed Wemor'

Astaed Wemor says 'Greetings. I am Astaed Wemor of the Paladins of the Temple of Life. We are the defenders of the all-giving Prime Healer. Are you [here to pray] or are you [here to assist the temple]?'

You say, 'I am here to assist the temple'

Astaed Wemor says 'Good. There are a few in the congregation who require assistance. Will you be [traveling afar] or are you [staying close to Qeynos]?'

You say, 'I will be traveling afar'

Astaed Wemor says 'Then outfit yourself well. We will require you to visit Rivervale, the village of the halflings. There you shall find an herb merchant named Kizzie Mintopp. She has an ingredient we require. Tell her you are from the Temple of Life.'

Find Kizzie Mintopp in Rivervale and tell her you're from the Temple of Life.

This is a short sidequest, see Honey Jum Quest.

After you receive the Honey Jum, head back to Qeynos for the turn in:

Astaed Wemor says 'I pray to Rodcet Nife that you have made it back in time. Let's add a small amount of this honey jum to this and.. here is the potion. This potion must be taken to a sick member of the congregation. The man is Lempeck Hargrin. He lives in the west plains of Karana between the river and the crop fields. He is in dire need of this potion. He has an odd disease. We have tried everything to cure him and this is his last chance. Run to him.'

You receive Prime Healer Potion

You gain experience!!

Travel to West Karana to a house near the river bank between the fields. In it, find Lempeck Hargrin.

You say, 'Hail, Lempeck Hargrin'

Lempeck Hargrin says 'Gree.. .. tings. How are you? Don't get too close to me. I have come down with something bad.'

Lempeck Hargrin says 'Thank you!! I felt the madness nearing my brain, but now I feel much better. Please take this as thanks - it is all I have to donate to Astaed Wemor. Be sure he gets it. I shall thank Rodcet Nife every day for sending help.'

You gain experience!!

You receive a Special NODROP Rusty Scythe

NOTE: Sometimes he goes crazy and attacks you at this point. This is most likely related to the potion you give him. The potion that identifies as "Potion of Disease Warding" is the one you want. If it identifies as "Ochre Potion Disease Ward" or anything else, you'll get attacked.

Bring the LORE/NODROP Rusty Scythe back to Astaed for the final turn in:

Astaed Wemor says 'It is good to know that we saved Lempeck. He has given us his scythe as a donation to the temple. We shall find a use for it. As for your fine work at preserving the life of another, I reward you with the Shining Star of Life. Should you ever desire more strength in battle, call upon it to give you strength, but let it be known that at battle's end, you shall feel weaker than before you called upon the power. Just for a short time. When the power is drained, go to our temple storehouse and ask Whysia to [recharge the Shining Star of Life]. Go and serve life.'
